Sunken Silo Brew Works offers an impressive array of handcrafted beers that are sure to excite your taste buds. They take great pride in providing a diverse selection of hoppy delights that are sure to please. On our most recent trip, we began with Cool Story M (4.9%) and Deemed Essential (5.3%).
Cool Story M is an American Blonde Ale that offers a refreshing and approachable experience. With its light body, golden color, subtle malt sweetness, and mild hop bitterness, it provides a well-balanced and easy-drinking sensation. Deemed Essential, a classic Czech lager, showcases a brilliant golden color, a crisp and clean taste, prominent hop bitterness, and delicate malt sweetness, resulting in a well-balanced and highly refreshing beer. We concluded our visit with a Bearded Flannel Cat, an IPA with an ABV of 7.5%, and HazeBro Intervention, a 6.3% cold IPA. Both IPAs stood out due to their bold hop flavors.
Hoppy Beer Info- What is a Cold IPA? This style of IPA is brewed using traditional IPA ingredients; however, it undergoes fermentation with a lager yeast strain. Fermenting at lower temperatures compared to ales, cold IPAs offer a crisper profile than traditional IPAs.

Kid-Friendly Taproom & Beer Garden
To keep your kids entertained during your visit, Sunken Silo offers weekly live music events, as well as weekly Yoga on the Patio and Trivia Nights for grown-ups. In their taproom, they have several big-screen televisions for viewing daily sporting events. They also provide board and card games for you to enjoy during your visit. A particular favorite for our boys is their mini-table cornhole game, which they love taking outside to play in the beer garden.
Sunken Silo has two seating areas to accommodate your comfort during your visit: an indoor taproom that houses their bar area and equipment, and an outdoor tented beer garden area. Our kids always love looking at and hearing about the production process. The outdoor area has large heaters, allowing guests to enjoy the space even when temperatures are cooler. This area is also where you will find the weekly live music events.
The staff at Sunken Silo was attentive and accommodating to all guests, especially those with kids in tow. They had several kid-friendly drink and snack options, including various types of soda and bottled water. Some snacks available for purchase included chips, popcorn, and pretzels.

Accessibility- Their taproom and beer garden is designed to accommodate guests with mobility needs.
Pet-Friendly- Pets are allowed to visit the tented beer garden area but must remain outside of the taproom.
Parking- There is ample parking with both a paved lot near the buildings and a smaller gravel lot on the opposite side of the tented beer garden
Complimentary Wi-Fi- They offer complimentary Wi-Fi to use during your visit.
Metropolitan Seafood Gourmet
Adjacent to Sunken Silo Brew Works is Metropolitan Seafood Gourmet, which provides a fantastic variety of fresh seafood and land-based options, along with several delightful Middle Eastern specialties. Their menu includes a range of classic favorites such as chicken tenders, fries, house burgers, wings, and various other dishes that are sure to satisfy even the most discerning of little palates.
During our most recent visit, while our youngest child devoured a dozen steamed littleneck clams, his brother enjoyed their chicken tenders and fries. We also treated ourselves to their incredible Grilled Ginger Salmon Pita Wrap, served with oven-roasted vegetables and a delightful wasabi sauce. It had just the right amount of kick without being overwhelming. Finally, we shared a clam strip platter served with fries, which was equally as impressive as the rest of our choices.
