Weyerbacher Brewing Company
Weyerbacher, a renowned craft beer brewery in the Lehigh Valley, has been a favorite among locals and visitors alike since its establishment in downtown Easton in 1995. With a production facility and tap room in operation on Easton’s Southside since 2001, Weyerbacher has gained recognition for its exceptional brews, including Merry Monks, Blithering Idiot, and Quad, the first Belgian-style quad brewed and bottled in the USA. During a recent visit, the brewery’s new selections from their pilot system stole the spotlight, particularly the Mouse American IPA (6.7%), an American IPA, and Grapefruit Dream (6%), an IPA that brings out flavors of citrus juice with a slight haze.
The Tap Room offers various seating options, including a bar, high tops, and German beer garden-style tables, accompanied by TVs showcasing sports and beer menus. Additionally, the venue features family-friendly game stations, such as basketball arcade games, foosball, air hockey, and pool tables, as well as shelves filled with beloved board games like Battleship. The brewery’s outdoor area is especially popular during the summer season.
Wanderlust Beer Garden
Wanderlust Beer Garden is a versatile and welcoming establishment offering a wide selection of craft beers on its 20-tap system, including popular choices like Miller Lite and Yuengling, as well as unique options like Victory Summer Love, Sweet Water Hazy IPA, and Founders Green Zebra. Local favorites from breweries such as Bonn Place, Sherman Street, and Funk are also highlighted through rotating taps. For those who prefer other drink options, Wanderlust has an extensive range of canned beers, seltzers, vodka sodas, and cocktails, including the popular Caribbean Sea, a vibrant mix of Tito’s Vodka, Blue Curacao, and lemonade.
In addition to the beverage selection, Wanderlust caters to families, providing a family-friendly environment with a helpful staff and a menu featuring kid-friendly dishes and special drinks for children. The venue offers spacious play areas with playgrounds and open sites nearby, and visitors can enjoy well-lit beer garden areas that allow for evening gatherings.
The Blendery-Seven Sirens Brewing Co.
Located in a historic Silk Mill Alley, Seven Sirens Brewery is a charming establishment that seamlessly blends industrial allure with a warm ambiance. They offer various seating options and a range of beers, including their award-winning Lighthouse brew and the citrus-infused Belgian ale, Orange Skies.
Although they don’t have an on-site kitchen, they partner with the Easton Wine Project for food delivery. The brewery is a bustling hub on weekends, with families and couples enjoying board games and other activities. The staff is friendly, particularly towards young visitors, and they have a program where patrons can buy a veteran a beer. Whether you’re a beer connoisseur or simply seeking a welcoming hangout spot, Seven Sirens Brewery is a must-visit, and parents can also enjoy treats from Owowcow Creamery’s ice cream.
Two Rivers Brewing
Two Rivers Brewing Company, situated at the intersection of Northampton and 6th Street in Easton, is a must-visit destination. Housed in the historic Mt. Vernon Hotel from the early 1800s, it offers excellent beer and food. During a recent visit, families were observed enjoying their meals, with parents savoring drinks while children explored their Crayola swag bags. The attentive staff promptly provided water in both adult cups and kid-friendly cups with lids. The Pine Street Belgian Blonde, named after a local street, and the Getter’s Island Pale Ale were recommended favorites. Additionally, their flagship IPA, Colonel Left Eye, provided a well-balanced experience with its diverse hop additions.
Scratch
Located within the Easton Public Market, Scratch is a great option to satisfy hungry little bellies while enjoying a refreshing craft beer. They offer a wide variety of thin-crust wood-fired pizzas and also serve ShawneeCraft Brewery Co. Beers. Some of our hoppy recommendations include the Biere Blanche and the Kittatinny Cream Ale. For families, Scratch is conveniently situated next to the Kids’ Zone, a designated area with books and games for kids to enjoy.
Boser Geist Brewing Co.
Boser Geist offers a well-rounded beer menu that appeals to both experienced beer enthusiasts and newcomers. Within their extensive collection, the Tangerine Twist stands out as a crowd favorite. This delightful sour beer from the brewery’s TPS (The Pucker Sour) Report series is a tantalizing combination of tangerine and Mexican orange puree, offering a truly mouthwatering experience. Our boys enjoy the industrial atmosphere and the live music! There are quite a few kid-friendly food options available as well.
Easton Wine Project
The Easton Wine Project is a must-visit urban winery in Easton, offering a wide variety of wines, including dry reds, dry whites, roses, and sweet fruity options. Wine lovers will be delighted by their extensive selection. Additionally, they always have a rotating selection of Pennsylvania-brewed craft beers on tap, including Wallenpaupak’s Cream Ale (4.5%). The Easton Wine Project also features a delicious food menu and live performances by local musicians on weekends, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Families with children will appreciate the spacious eating area, in particular the recommended sunken section. Also, our boys highly recommend their tasty potato chips.
Invertase Brewing Company
Located right across the river from Easton, in Phillipsburg, NJ, is Invertase Brewing Company. While we were there, we indulged in the vibrant flavors of Invertase Super Saturation Raspberry (6.7%). It was an absolute treat for beer enthusiasts. This American Wheat Ale, infused with raspberries and lactose, offers a delightful blend of fruity notes that harmonize flawlessly with the smooth wheat base. They also offer root beer for the kiddos to enjoy.
