During our recent family vacation, we were on the lookout for fantastic craft beer spots that the whole family could enjoy together. That’s why we put together this list of the top 3 favorite kid-friendly craft beer spots in Myrtle Beach.

Crooked Hammock

Our first stop was Crooked Hammock Brewery. This brewery offers a unique and relaxing atmosphere, making it a top choice for parents seeking a kid-friendly craft beer spot. The brewery features an impressive selection of craft beers brewed on-site. They offer a brew to suit every palate, from light and refreshing summer ales to rich and complex stouts. Don’t miss their signature “Beach Escape IPA” a tropical delight perfect for sipping under the Carolina sun. This session IPA allows you to sip paradise throughout the day.

If you need to cut your brewery visit a little short after a long day at the beach, no worries, Crooked Hammock has a large selection of beers to go, available in their brewery shop.

Crooked Hammock Brewery provides a delightful and family-friendly taproom and restaurant experience ideal for guests of all ages. Each kids’ meal has a tasty side, allowing kids to choose from various options, including Fries, Veggie Sticks & Ranch, Seasoned Fruit, or Mac & Cheese. From their main menu, our family also enjoyed the Humongous Pretzel and Longboard Nachos.

Families can enjoy their outdoor beer garden, featuring picnic tables, yard games such as cornhole, and fire pits ideal for cooler evenings. Indoors, their spacious restaurant and charming taproom offer a selection of seating choices suitable for the entire family. Whether you’re seeking a traditional table, a relaxed high-top, or a barrel table, they have you covered. 

With indoor and outdoor settings, an array of games and activities, and a menu that kids will adore, Crooked Hammock Brewery is the ideal destination for families to create cherished moments together.

Tidal Creek Brewhouse

This brewhouse is a gem for parents seeking craft beer excellence!  From the moment you walk in, you’ll be struck by the laid-back coastal vibe and friendly staff. We highly recommend the Breezy Blonde (5%) and the Grand Strand IPA (6.5%).

Family-Friendly Features

While you savor your favorite craft beer, you can catch up on the latest game on the large-screen television. At the back of the brewhouse, a charming kids’ play area awaits young adventurers, filled with toys and activities to keep them happily occupied throughout your visit. For those who relish friendly competition, Tidal Creek Brewhouse offers a selection of cards and board games suitable for all ages. Tidal Creek has a delicious food menu with plenty of kid-friendly options. Start the day off right with fluffy pancakes or scrumptious French toast for breakfast. When hunger strikes later in the day, their dedicated kids’ menu offers a range of classics such as burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, hot dogs, and chicken tenders. Black Drum Brewery

Our last stop was Black Drum Brewery. While Black Drum Brewery may not brew its own beer (yet!), it is a fantastic option for families seeking a taste of local craft beers from the Carolinas. Here, parents can sample craft brews while children enjoy watching their yummy pizza prepared at the open pizza kitchen. Though they don’t brew in-house, Black Drum Brewery features an ever-changing selection of 40 taps with top-notch craft beers from the region. This spot ensures a diverse and enjoyable beer-tasting experience from pale ales to lagers and beyond.

Family-Friendly Features

Their menu also offers many delicious kid-friendly options, including pulled chicken or pork  sliders, macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, cheeseburger sliders, and grilled veggie sliders. All kids’ meals have a side: fries, fresh fruit, or slaw.

The restaurant has a large outdoor patio with ocean views, a beer garden, and a lawn with classic yard games. There is also live music on the weekends. Black Drum Brewing is an excellent option whether you are looking for a delicious meal or a fun place to spend the day with your family.
